Internet Settings (Using the phone as modem)

PC configuration

 With Nokia PC Suite

Install software (PC suite & cable driver).
 Click on Internet settings in PC suite
1. Click on settings in one toucch Acess in Nokia PC Suite
2. Select  Modem of Mobile Modem (eg: Nokia  N72 USB Modem) and  press Next
3. Click on Configure Manually and press Next
4. fill the blanks like
Access point: gprssouth.cellone.in OR bsnlnet
UserName:  Mobileno (9194xxxxxxxx)
Password:  Mobile no (9194xxxxxxxx)
and press finsh

To start browsing, click Connect

NOTE: When using infrared or Bluetooth connection on Windows 2000 & XP, infrared driver will be installed automatically (plug & play).

Phone configuration
             
            1. Go to Menu >Tools >Settings >Connection >Packet data. Edit active access point.
            Access point: gprssouth.cellone.in or bsnlnet
Or Open Bluetooth window in your Laptop or Desktop pair it with your mobile and enter as follows:
User Name: Your mobile Number
Password: Your mobile Number
Dialup No: *99***1#

PC/LAPTOP Configuration:

                 . Create a dialer.
            From the Start Menu, select Programs>Accessories>Communications>Dial-up networking.
            Double click the Make new connection icon.
            Enter name under the Type a name.
            At the Select a device slide, select the modem driver.
            Click next. At the telephone number enter *99***1#. Click Next then Finish.
            Right click the dialer then select Properties. Unclick the Use area code and dialing properties or the Dialing rule.
            To start browsing, double click the dialer and click Connect.

In the User name field type your STD Code with out zero for example Chennai’s STD code is 044 this will be 44 after that telephone number without space for example let’s take phone number 27433007 okay. Here the both will written next to each other first the STD Code ‘without zero’ and the phone number ‘without space’. The above example will become 4427433007
Password: [this will not important so type something here we type m]
Confirm password: [same text we type in the Password field type m]
Click -> Next >
 
 
Click ->Next >
 
 
Setup is Finish here
 
 
Click -> Dial [To Dial-up, Right click on the Dial-up connection]


This will appear



To Disconnect the Dial-Up connection

Right Click on the Dial-Up Icon [System Trap OR Click Start -> Control Panel Click -> Network and Internet Connections
Click -> Network Connections]

To check status of the Dial-Up connection
Right Click on the Dial-Up Icon [System Trap OR Click Start -> Control Panel Click -> Network and Internet Connections
Click -> Network Connections]

Build-in Modem
RJ11 Connected to the Modem [Phone should connected with modem]
To check modem is installed in the system
Press Windows key + Pause/Break key OR Start [left click] ->My Computer [Right click]
->Properties->Hardware (tab) ->Device Manager-> Modem [left click on the modem [+]
It will display all the modem installed in that system]

How to Turn a Scanned Document Into Microsoft Word Document



If you have Word 2007 or newer, you can use it to edit scanned text, which is much faster than typing the whole thing from scratch. To enable this feature and convert a scanned document to editable text, follow these steps.

Method 1 of 2: Enable Document Imaging

Find a list of your installed programs in the Control Panel.
  • Windows 7 or Vista: Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  • Windows XP: Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Remove a Program.

    Select your Microsoft Office edition, then click Change. Your version of Word might be in a Microsoft Office pack or it might just be called Microsoft Office Word.

    Scan and/or open the document with Paint. If scanning, follow the sub-steps below. Otherwise, simply open the scanned image with Paint and skip to Step 2.
    • Go to File > From Scanner or Camera to initiate scan if necessary.

    • Choose the settings that best fit your document and hit Scan. Since you are primarily interested in the text, Black and white picture or text is probably best.

    Go to File > Save or Save As as necessary.

    Open Microsoft Office Document Imaging. Go to Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Tools and select it from the list, or simply do a search for “microsoft office document imaging.”

    Open the .tiff file. Simply go to File > Open and locate the file you saved.

Delete  a Comment- Right click on the Comment balloon. A menu will appear. Click on the option 'Delete Comment'

Delete All commentsin the document- Go to review Tab-  In the comments group options, click Delete Button and from drop down menu select 'Delete all comments in the document'

  1. Hide Comments- Go the Review tab, locate and click the Option 'Show markup'. From the drop down menu that appears click on 'comments' to remove the Checkmark besides it.

    Show comments- Follow the step number 3 above, this time make sure that the check mark appears. That will show all the comments.
