Setting up for Dial-Up Connection with BSNL Landline Connection
Click Start -> Control Panel
Click -> Network and Internet Connections
Click -> Network Connections
Click -> Create new connection
Click -> Next >
Select “Connect to the Internet” and click Next >
Select “Set up my connection manually” and click Next >
Select “Connect using a dial-up modem” and click Next >
Type 172222 and Click Next >
In the
User name field type your STD Code with out zero for example Chennai’s
STD code is 044 this will be 44 after that telephone number without
space for example let’s take phone number 27433007 okay. Here the both
will written next to each other first the STD Code ‘without zero’ and
the phone number ‘without space’. The above example will become
4427433007
Password: [this will not important so type something here we type m]
Confirm password: [same text we type in the Password field type m]
Click -> Next >
Click ->Next >
Setup is Finish here
Click -> Dial [To Dial-up, Right click on the Dial-up connection]
This will appear
To Disconnect the Dial-Up connection
Right Click on the Dial-Up Icon [System Trap OR Click Start -> Control Panel Click -> Network and Internet Connections
Click -> Network Connections]
To check status of the Dial-Up connection
Right Click on the Dial-Up Icon [System Trap OR Click Start -> Control Panel Click -> Network and Internet Connections
Click -> Network Connections]

System requires Windows XP
Build-in Modem
RJ11 Connected to the Modem [Phone should connected with modem]
To check modem is installed in the system
Press Windows key + Pause/Break key OR Start [left click] ->My Computer [Right click]
->Properties->Hardware (tab) ->Device Manager-> Modem [left click on the modem [+]
It will display all the modem installed in that system]
